Professor Roger Costa is a Fourth-Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Ninth-Degree Red Belt Octavio De Almeida Jr. With over 30 years of dedicated training and teaching, Professor Costa has become a highly respected figure in the BJJ community.

Professor Costa’s journey began more than three decades ago in São Paulo, Brazil, where he earned his black belt in the birthplace of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Over the years, he has built an impressive competitive resume, securing three São Paulo State Championship titles and winning numerous super fights, both in Brazil and the United States. His consistent success at prestigious IBJJF championships and NAGA tournaments reflects his technical excellence and competitive mindset.

Beyond competition, Professor Costa is known for his thoughtful and disciplined approach to teaching.
